SB2K5 in Puerto Rico

Bring me two Pina Colada's

I want one for each hand

Let's set sail with Captain Morgan

Though we'll never leave dry land

Hey, troubles I've forgot em

I've buried em in the sand

So bring me two Pina Colada's

We said goodbye to that West Point land...

Wow.  Good times.

Beautiful girlfriend with me, perfect weather, ridiculously nice place to stay, hiking through rain forests, exploring old fortresses from the 16th century, jet skis you could ride in the ocean surf, gorgeous beaches, the hotel staff that would carry your lounge chair and towels out to wherever you wanted on the sand and bring you drinks anytime you wanted, and the... wow, I could go on indefinitely.

This was an excellent Spring Break.

I can't really write down all the stuff we did because I think I'd need an editor and publisher, but I'll put pictures up for you.

GO TO PUERTO RICO.  You won't regret it.

The view from our hotel room's private balcony.

Walking on the beach our first night.

Japanese steakhouse.  Two thumbs up.

Short pit-stop in the rainforest.

The rainforest the locals call El Yunque.

Coca falls.

On our way to the highest lookout tower.

That's the actual mountain named El Yunque in the background.

Sure beats upstate NY.

On the trail down to La Mina falls.

Swimming in La Mina falls.  Coooold water.

On our way to Old San Juan.

San Juan harbor.

The fortress known as El Murro which defends San Juan Harbor.

The western/lower half of the fortress.  Yes, those walls are 18 feet thick and have stood since the 1500's.

The "roof" of the fortress.

One of the guard tower windows the sentries looked through while on duty.

San Cristobal guards the eastern end of San Juan.  El Murro is in the background of this picture and the 18 foot thick wall extends between the two forts.

San Cristobal artillery piece.  Old San Juan is in the distance.

Don't shoot.

You think walking the area when you get in trouble is bad?  The only light in this prison cell came from the camera flash.

Hammock chair we found while doing the tourist/shopping thing in Old San Juan.

God bless this man and his house.

Mmmm...  Pina' Colada...

Tania was on the island visiting family so she hooked up some really good native food one afternoon and then joined us on the beach.

We just kept on walking past this guy and all his DEA buddies.

Yep.  Sure beats NY.

Last night on the island.
